Gilad Ofir was born in Israel in 1983. He is married to Nitzan and Father to Arbel and Shahaf. Gilad has been playing bridge since the age of 10 and has participated in many national and international competitions, both as a player and as a captain, achieving significant success and recognition.
Gilad is highly qualified, having a Law Degree, an MBA in Business Administration and a BSc in Industrial Engineering and Management.
He has been a member of the Israel Bridge Federation Executive Committee since 2009 and a member of the EBL Executive Committee since 2018. He has a particular interest in youth bridge, establishing the WBF Online Youth World Championship and since 2017 has been the WBF Youth Bridge Development Coordinator.
He was elected to the WBF Executive Council in October 2020, replacing Eitan Levy who had decided to retire from the position.
