By Anna Gudge In News, Tribute On 18th November 2021
We are very saddened to learn of the death today of Sue Picus, WBF Women’s World Grand Master and a well known and respected player throughout her playing career, winning her first Venice Cup in Yokohama in 1991. She went on to win again in Chile in 1993, then won the McConnell in Albuquerque in 1994. She won the Venice Cup for the third time in 2003 in Monte Carlo giving her a truly impressive record, interspersed with many other achievements including a silver medal over the years.
Always popular, always smiling, Sue will be very much missed by her many friends within the bridge world and of course by her family. We send our sincere condolences to her husband, Barry Rigal.
