AJ Stephani, from Cincinnati, Ohio, was elected as a member of the WBF Executive Council in 2022.
AJ graduated from Yale University and the University of Cincinnati College of Law, where he currently serves in a joint faculty/administrative capacity. He has been a member of the ACBL Board of Directors since 2017 and currently serves as the Chair of the ACBL Appeals & Charges Committee.
He is a founding member of the Institute for Bridge Arbitration (IBA), which provides an alternative forum to the Court of Arbitration for Sport and internal disciplinary structures for bridge organizations in resolving allegations of bridge cheating and other ethical breaches.
AJ also serves as the organizer of the EDGAR project, a new tool to detect and prosecute online (and potentially in-person) cheating cases which will be made available to bridge organizations throughout the world later in the year.
