Helen Kruger was elected to the WBF Executive Council in November 2020. She has been involved in the management of the South African Bridge Federation for the past 30 years, serving two 5-year terms as President and is still an active member on the Committee. Helen has also been Secretary to the African Bridge Federation since 2009, and continues to serve in that capacity.

Helen is known as an excellent bridge player, and has represented South Africa twice in the Venice Cup and d’Orsi Trophy.

In 2017 she, with her excellent committee, hosted the African Bridge Federation Trials in Cape Town where they were were privileged  to have the WBF President, Gianarrigo Rona and his team presenting a very successful 3 day seminar to our players.

Helen also runs her own private club, which pre COVID, had between 45 and 50 tables in play once a week.
